✅ Eligibility Criteria: Do You Qualify?
To be considered for the LBO post, candidates must meet the following three crucial criteria:
1. Educational Qualification
- A Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution is mandatory.
2. Banking Experience (Mandatory)
- A minimum of one year of post-qualification work experience in the Clerical or Officer Cadre.
- This experience must be with a Scheduled Commercial Bank (SCB) or a Regional Rural Bank (RRB). Experience from other financial institutions is not accepted.
3. Age Limit (as of 01.07.2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules (e.g., SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years).
4. Local Language Proficiency
- Mandatory proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) in the local language of the state applied for.
- Exemption: Candidates who have studied the specified local language in their 10th or 12th standard are exempted from the Language Proficiency Test.
💰 Salary Structure and Benefits
The LBO position falls under the JMGS-I scale and offers an extremely competitive compensation package.

4-Stage Selection Roadmap
The final selection for PNB LBO is based on a structured, four-stage process:
- Online Written Test (150 Marks/180 Minutes): An objective-type test with negative marking (1/4th). Candidates must meet sectional qualifying marks (40% for General/EWS/OBC, 35% for Reserved Categories).
- The test covers Computer Reasoning & Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness.
- Screening: Document verification for eligibility check.
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): A mandatory, qualifying test for candidates without the local language studied in 10th/12th grade. Failure to qualify here leads to disqualification.
- Personal Interview (50 Marks): Candidates must score a minimum of 50% (General/EWS) or 45% (SC/ST) to pass.
Final Merit: The final selection list will be compiled state-wise and category-wise based on the combined marks from the Online Written Test and the Personal Interview.
